Workshop series “When GenZ chooses to live green”
ℹ️ Within the framework of Science Film Festival 2021 (SFF 2021) project, jointly implemented by Goethe-Institut and Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS), the workshop series aim to raise scientific awareness and promote awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues focusing on the theme “Better understanding for better health” through international films with educational activities.
? The experiential workshop series “When GenZ chooses to live green” is organized with the desire to evoke the passion for science among young people – especially GenZ, towards a healthy green lifestyle, motivating creative thinking, and applying science in life through experiential activities combined with scientific film screening.
? Joining each workshop, you will learn, experience and discover interesting things that seem simple around life. Through the workshop series with a space to share and discuss background and useful information, we do hope you will be inspired to create, explore and lead a positive and healthy lifestyle.
? Participants: Participants: High school students (16-18 years old) from high schools across the country, focusing mainly on schools:
- Duong Van Thi High School (Thu Duc City)
- Bac Giang High School for the Gifted
- Nguyen Trai High School (Thai Binh)
- Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted
- Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted.

? What will happen in workshops?
Topic 01: “Hello, Plastic!” will bring knowledge about microplastics, hidden plastics and how plastic-related products affect human health through interactive activities and films like “Microplastic in human”; “Hidden plastic: the teabag experiment”, and “Food for thought”
Topic 02: “What do you eat in your teens?” will create a space to discuss, exchange and discover the daily dishes of GenZ friends and thereby provide scientific and healthy eating habits through the films like “Diet changes in traditional communities in the Brazilian Amazon”, and “Three Teaspoons of Sugar”
Topic 03: “How to live green from “A” to “a”” will direct young people to a minimalist and close-to-nature lifestyle, thus helping them to better understand the surrounding environment and appreciate the seemingly small things in the life through the film “Eat, grow, love”
Workshop series schedule
? Online science quiz contest
Online science quiz contest “GenZ and green lifestyle” will be held online via ZOOM and Kahoot platforms! The contest will use information and knowledge in the framework of a series of science films shown as well as interactive activities in October, November and December with the desire to arouse a passion for science among young people – especially is GenZ, thereby leading a healthy green lifestyle, stimulating creative thinking, and applying science in life through experiential activities combined with scientific film screening.
Prize structure:

? 1 Second Prize – 3.000.000 VND
? 1 Third Prize – 2.000.000 VND
