Working to Approach Youth Workers as Agents of a Response to Disability (WAYWARD)
WAYWARD (Working to Approach Youth Workers as Agents of a Response to Disability) is a project on capacity building for staff and volunteers working with people with disabilities funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission with the participation of six (06) member countries, including Italy, Vietnam, Greece, Mexico, Bulgaria, the Philippines and Ireland. The project aims to enhance personal development, help overcome stereotypes, and promote social inclusion for people with mental disabilities, especially young people, through the EST educational method.

CSDS is honored to work with youth associations/organizations from many countries such as Italy, Greece, Mexico, Bulgaria, the Philippines, and Ireland. Those organizations are ASOCIACIA ZA RAZVITIE NA BULGARSKIASPORT (Bulgaria), ASOCIACION MEXICANA DE VOLUNTARIADO INTERNACIONAL (Mexico), BRIDGING THE GAPS ORGANIZATION BTGINC (Philippines), MINE VAGANTI NGO (Italy), SO EUROPE EURASIA FOUNDATION (Ireland), AETOI THESSALONIKIS (Greece).
– Upcoming activities: The project WAYWARD’s online training course on working with people with disabilities will be held on October 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2021.
Objectives: The training course is aimed at
1. Capacity building for staff and volunteers in supporting activities for people with disabilities;
2. Discussing effective interventions to engage and improve the physical and mental health of people with disabilities, including sports activities;
3. Sharing common and successful methods and practices among the participating countries.
