The ICommit program is one component of the Youth Drivers for Change Project. ICommit Program aims to increase social commitment and responsibility of young people in Vietnam. The program focuses on enhancing self-awareness and personal growth for social action.
ICommit is a half year program where participants attend intensive trainings and workshops on leadership, taking responsibility, motivating others, critical thinking, providing support and self-confidence. After the training, the participants work for four moths on their own social project, a project linked to a current problem in Vietnam. The teams find their own teammates during the first training and work together for four months. In their project they are coached by a local ICommit coach who follows through with them on the training topics.
The I Commit training model is delivered by a youth-led team who take on the role of both trainers and coaches under the guidance of experienced facilitators from abroad, helping to develop local leadership and coaching capacity.
