Our objective at CSDS is to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through our two operational branches, Programs and Projects.
The Projects Department focuses on building the capacity of young people and youth groups to create, implement and maintain their own development projects in Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam. We work to build skills in leadership, critical thinking and innovation in our talented and enthusiastic youth.
We do this through projects that span fields as diverse as climate change, social inclusion, personal development and foreign language skills. Our international partners including Irish Aid, Oxfam and the British Council support us and bring high quality expertise to these projects.
SOCI Hub (Social Interaction and Incubation Hub) has provided a home for the activities of the Project Department. It is a free space utilised and appreciated by our youth groups and volunteers.
Global Exchange is the core of the Programs Department, hosting international volunteers and sending Vietnamese volunteers to other countries. Participants are placed in volunteering positions in teaching, social work or NGO capacity-building, and are expected to actively contribute to local community development. Volunteers are offered the opportunity to learn from working in a practical and cross-cultural development setting.
Our team of financial, project development, communications and volunteer staff work closely with the Director and Vice-Director to deliver these programs. We also offer several internships and volunteer positions that provide invaluable project development, communications, events and cultural exchange support.
